DRAG QUEEN ACCUSED OF MURDERING 18 MEN

Yikes! No time for clever quips, I'm late for work..so here is all of the poop:

French police have detained a 68-year-old man (ed note: not pictured above-I just loved the photo)- reported to be a 'drag queen' performer -- suspected of murdering 18 mainly homosexual men, a judicial source said Wednesday.

The murders were committed between 1980 and 2002 in eastern France and the Paris region.

Detained Tuesday in the eastern city of Mulhouse, the man was being held in nearby Montbeliard along with another suspect who is already serving a murder sentence in a Paris jail, the source said.

Both men deny the accusations, according to the prosecution, which said it had "no formal proof" of their guilt at this stage.

L'Alsace newspaper said the key suspect worked as a female impersonator and that his arrest followed a two-year investigation by a Montbeliard police officer, who spotted his name in database files relating to a string of unsolved murders.

Most of the murders took place in the Alsace and France-Comte regions and three were in the Paris area. Several other people are being questioned in connection with the case, the source added.

The victims were killed by a violent blow to the head, followed by multiple stabbings. Each time the bodies were found partly naked, but the victims' faces were covered up.

Local prosecutors are to hold a press conference Thursday on the case.

GAY MAN MURDERED AS PART OF SKINHEAD INITIATION

I'm Back Baby!

I took a wee bit of a sabbatical from Blogging, but, I have returned refreshed and full of Zest! So, keep tuning in for daily updates of the tangiest news around! Ok, on to business...

Police are saying an Oklahoma gay man was kidnapped and murdered as part of a white supremacist gang initiation:

Steven Domer, 62, was abducted on 26 in a gay neighborhood. His car was found the following day and Domer's body was discovered in a ravine.

Friends said that Domer sometimes picked up other men for sex. Witnesses said that Domer was seen talking to two men the night he disappeared.

Investigators then began probing whether anyone known to be gay lived in the area where Domer's body was found.

That led them to Darrell Lynn Madden, 37 (above). Madden is already facing a murder charge in connection with the slaying of his friend Bradley Qualls. Qualls was murdered about ten days after Domer disappeared.

Madden was charged with the Domer killing while he lay in a hospital bed after being shot by police during his arrest for the Qualls murder.

Police allege that both Madden and Qualls were connected to the United Aryan Brotherhood, a violent white supremacist group. But investigators also claim that Madden is bisexual.

According to an affidavit filed by the prosecutor in the Domer case, the killing was part of an initiation for Qualls.

Both Qualls and Madden fit descriptions of the two men who Domer was seen talking to shortly before he disappeared.

The court documents show that Madden's roommate told police he overheard Madden and another man talking about someone who "wouldn't even fight back".

A woman Madden had sometimes dated said she heard him and Qualls talk about killing a man, the affidavit stated.

Madden has been charged with murder in Domer's slaying, on top of the murder charge he has in the Qualls case.

Prosecutors say they cannot charge him with a hate crime because sexuality is not covered under Oklahoma law.

CATHOLIC PRIEST ARRESTED FOR STALKING CONAN O'BRIEN

Sigh...more trauma for the Vatican....

A priest from Boston has been charged with stalking and harassing the talk show host Conan O’Brien, law enforcement officials said last night.

The suspect, David Ajemian, was arrested on Friday when he tried to attend a taping of NBC’s “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” program at Rockefeller Center, the police said. The priest is being held in jail for a court-ordered psychiatric examination, and is due back in court tomorrow.

Court papers quote from menacing postcards and letters — at least some written on a parish letterhead — that Father Ajemian is alleged to have sent to Mr. O’Brien’s home and television studio for more than a year. The letters continued even after the priest was asked to stop, law enforcement officials said.

A Feb. 20 letter said: “I’m told by some of those officious little usher people that you’re overbooked. Is this the way you treat your most dangerous fans? You owe me big-time, pal. I want a public confession before I even consider giving you absolution.”

An April 26 letter, signed Padre, said, “I am not Seung Cho,” apparently alluding to the gunman at Virginia Tech. The letter continued: “Even if I did once look out on that dark and dreaded doorway on West 72 Street, remember Frank Costello once dodged a bullet in your building, and so can you.” The gangster Frank Costello was shot and wounded in the lobby of the Majestic on West 72nd Street in 1957.

The priest said in his correspondence that he had followed Mr. O’Brien’s career since they both attended Harvard.

When Father Ajemian was ordained in 2001, The Boston Herald said he was a “former Episcopalian who was turned on to religion partly by Federicio Fellini’s 1960 film ‘La Dolce Vita’ ”.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston said that Father Ajemian has been placed on leave, The Associated Press said.

ELLEN DEGENERES CALLED A "TYRANT" BY HER STAFF AND CROSSES PICKET LINE

I'm late for work kiddies, so I have to forgo the witty commentary on today's blogs, so here it is, Ellen is mean:

November 9, 2007 -- DAVID Letterman, Jay Leno, Jon Stewart and Conan O'Brien all are supporting the striking members of the Writers Guild - but not Ellen DeGeneres.

The TV chat host crossed picket lines to tape her show Tuesday, the day after the union went on strike.

"There's a writers' strike going on, and here in Los Angeles, it's a huge story," she told her studio audience, defending her strikebreaking. (The episode will air today.)

"I want to say I love my writers. I love them. In honor of them today, I'm not going to do a monologue. I support them and hope that they get everything they're asking for. And I hope it works out soon. In the meantime, people have traveled across the country. They've made plans. They're here. I want to do everything I can to make your trip enjoyable and give you a show."

It's a decision DeGeneres may come to regret. On SurgicalStrikes.com, one former, unidentified, writer for her 2001-02 sitcom, "The Ellen Show," reports she treated her writers "like [bleep]."

"We'd watch her in rehearsals, smiling and winning us over with her charm and comic timing. Then the director would yell cut, her face would fall, and she'd level a glare at the writers. 'Why do you keep writing these unfunny jokes?' she'd hiss.

"Ellen frequently eviscerated the head writer and . . . boasted of the changes she'd make in season two, starting with his firing." But, the blogger continues facetiously, the axed writer "was a hack anyway - all he did after leaving was create 'Arrested Development' and win two Emmys for writing, another for Best Comedy."

The blogger also grumbles that DeGeneres "took to" a friend of his he identifies only as "J" and "put his jokes into her stand-up act, used his words to fill two full pages in her book, then promised him a job on her new show. When he met with a low-level producer, they said he didn't have the right experience, and Ellen pretended she couldn't do anything to help."

"I'm disappointed in Ellen [for crossing the picket line] but not surprised . . . given what I've seen from her with my own two eyes."

A TV insider said DeGeneres is unwilling to honor the picket line because "this is her last chance in show business. This show is the only thing keeping her from a lifetime of touring college campuses."

DeGeneres' rep didn't return e-mails

PROMINENT JESUIT PRIEST ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING TEENAGE BOYS

Doesn't this guy look like the late Gerry Falwell? Uncanny!

Anyhoo, he is the latest member of clergy to be accused of heinous acts against the helpless:

The priest, the Rev. Donald J. McGuire, was charged by the federal authorities with traveling to Switzerland and Austria to engage in sexual conduct with a minor. Father McGuire was convicted last year of sexually abusing two high school students on trips to Wisconsin.

He was free on parole awaiting an appeal.

If convicted on the new federal charge, he could face up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Father McGuire, 77, has spent much of his career directing retreats for laypeople and members of Mother Teresa’s religious order. He entered Federal District Court in Chicago yesterday leaning on a walker and wearing a blue suit, without a priest’s collar.

An assistant United States attorney, Julie B. Ruder, called him a flight risk and a danger to the community. Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys decided against releasing him on bond.

Victims’ lawyers released documents this week that showed that as far back as 1969 parents had contacted Jesuit officials to report that Father McGuire was behaving in sexually incorrect ways with their sons.

The order also received complaint letters from parents in 1993, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

In that time, Father McGuire traveled alone with teenagers as young as 13, usually sharing a room and often a bed, according to the affidavit unsealed yesterday.

The actions continued despite orders from his Jesuit superiors in the Chicago Province in 1991 instructing Father McGuire not to travel on overnight trips “with any boy or girl under the age of 18 and, preferably, even under the age of 21.”

In 2001, Father McGuire was ordered not to travel or share a room with anyone younger than 30.

Investigators in the United States attorney’s office in Chicago interviewed three men who said that as teenagers they traveled with Father McGuire to dozens of states and overseas, often cleaning his laundry, cooking, helping him shower and giving him massages and shots for diabetes.

They said Father McGuire repeatedly showed them pornographic magazines and movies, sexually abused them and intimidated them into remaining silent.

Sometimes after the abuse, he would perform the rite of absolution. One of the reported victims said the first time Father McGuire molested him was at confession, when he was 9. The parents had considered it an honor when the prominent priest mentored their sons.

The boy who reportedly traveled with Father McGuire to Switzerland and Austria roomed with him in a Jesuit residence in Evanston, Ill., in 1999, starting at age 13, and stayed until 2003.

That was one year after the Catholic bishops of the United States declared that all priests credibly accused of abuse should be removed from ministry service.

The Rev. Edward W. Schmidt, provincial of the Jesuits of the Chicago Province, said in a statement yesterday that he apologized to the victims and had cooperated with the authorities.

In the lobby of the federal courthouse, a lawyer for Father McGuire, Stephen M. Komie, said, “If Father McGuire could speak for himself, I’m sure he’d say these folks are trying to attack the treasury of the church.”

Barbara Blaine of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests said that the problem was not money, but that the Jesuits and Cardinal Francis George, archbishop of Chicago, had failed to protect children by reporting a priest they knew was a predator.

“At a bare minimum,” Ms. Blaine asked, “why didn’t they make sure Father McGuire didn’t have a child in his room?”

STAR TENNIS PLAYER ACCUSED OF SEX CRIME AGAINST MALE TEAMMATE

This is what happens when you combine booze and a desire to act out a cliche'd gay-porn scenario...

The weekend incident came to light Thursday when Raleigh police released a search warrant connected to the case.

As a member of the tennis team and a stand out in high school, 19-year-old Dejon Bivens of Charlotte is used to having his picture taken, but the mugshot he took over the weekend wasn't voluntary.

Raleigh police charged him with crimes against nature.

Details of the incident were released in a search warrant. There was an off-campus party last Friday at the apartment of one of the tennis team members.

The player told police he went to bed around 3 a.m. Saturday and was awakened two hours later by Bivens performing oral sex on him.

Police arrested and served Bivens with the search warrant that allowed investigators get a saliva sample. He was released on bond that same day.

None of the tennis team members or the coach will comment on the incident though they know about the charges against Bivens.

N.C. State Athletics officials said they can't comment on the matter because of privacy laws, but as of now, Bivens' status with the team has not changed.

CATHOLIC BISHOP ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING ANOTHER MAN

Yeah, it's happened again (this whole bad-touch priest thing is almost gotten trite)...

A retired Catholic bishop who served in Collier County from 2004 until April 2007 is accused in a lawsuit filed in Sarasota Circuit Court of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 42-year-old Cuban man.

The lawsuit has prompted questions from a local Catholic organization about the Catholic hierarchy’s handling of the retired bishop while he served in Southwest Florida.

The diocese serving Southwest Florida recently responded to the lawsuit, which was filed in August, by denying the allegations and asking for dismissal of the complaint.

The suit alleges the Most Rev. Priamo Tejeda, a retired bishop of the Diocese of BanĂ in the Dominican Republic, began assaulting the man while Tejeda was an active bishop and continued the assaults over an 11-year period, most recently in Broward County in 2005. The suit doesn’t say that any of the alleged assaults took place in Southwest Florida.

The plaintiff in the lawsuit is identified by only his initials: “J.G.”

In the suit, J.G. alleges Tejeda contacted him in Miami in January 2005 to discuss employment opportunities within the Diocese of Venice, which has jurisdiction over 10 counties in Florida, including Collier and Lee.

After Tejeda arrived in Miami, he drove J.G. to an apartment and then Tejeda forced himself sexually on J.G., the suit states.

“He was threatening him with deportation or arrest,” said J.G.’s lawyer, Ronald Weil of Miami.

He said J.G. plans to file a report with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office about the incident.

Tejeda’s attorney, George Ollinger of Melbourne, has filed a motion to dismiss the suit, contending the Sarasota court doesn’t have jurisdiction and the time period to file a case concerning the allegations, called the statute of limitations, has expired.

Neither Tejeda nor Ollinger could be reached for comment.

While he was serving in the diocese, records show Tejeda was involved in a suspicious incident investigated by the City of Venice police department in July 2000. In a police interview, Tejeda acknowledged that he was homosexual and had made unwanted sexual advances toward a then- 43-year-old male physician from the Dominican Republic who was living with Tejeda in church-owned housing, the police report states.

Tejeda also admitted he provided the physician with false immigration documentation and was in possession of $2,150 owned by the physician, the report states.

A diocesan attorney and a high-ranking church legal official, Monsignor Robert Cannon, were notified of the investigation, the report states.

No charges were filed against Tejeda as a result of the Venice police investigation.

EL CHUPACABRA MYSTERY SOLVED

I'm crushed!

The world feels just a little less magical after it was determined a mystery carcass recently found was not indeed postmortem proof of the existence of the mythical El Chupacabra:

Biologists at Texas State University announced Thursday night that they had identified the hairless doglike creature.

San Antonio television station KENS provided a tissue sample from the animal for testing.

"The DNA sequence is a virtually identical match to DNA from the coyote (Canis latrans)," bioligist Mike Forstner said in a written statement. "This is probably the answer a lot of folks thought might be the outcome. I, myself, really thought it was a domestic dog, but the Cuero Chupacabra is a Texas Coyote."

Phylis Canion and some of her neighbors discovered the 40-pound bodies of three of the animals over four days in July outside her ranch in Cuero, 90 miles southeast of San Antonio. Canion said she saved the head of the one she found so she could get to get to the bottom of its ancestry through DNA testing and then mount it for posterity.

Forstner said the testing provided an opportunity to demonstrate how science answers questions.

Chupacabra means "goat sucker" in Spanish, and it is said to have originated in Latin America, specifically Puerto Rico and Mexico.

"This is fun, not scary, but if people are worried about the chupacabra, it is probably even more important that we explain the mystery," he said. "Folks can fear what they don't understand, and a big part of the goal in science is to explain the natural world."

He said additional skin samples have been taken to try to determine the cause of the animal's hair loss.

"TRANSFORMERS" ACTOR SHIA LABEOUF ARRESTED

You may have noticed that I don't typically report on Hollywood's misbehaving youths (more often than not, their behavior is just a bid for publicity), but this one surprised me. Hot young Hollywood up n' comer Shia LaBeouf (mugshot above) was arrested over the weekend for trespass while intoxicated:

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf was arrested in a Chicago drug store early Sunday morning, reports CBS News.

A security guard in a downtown Walgreens repeatedly told the actor, 21, that he was to leave the store because he appeared intoxicated, say police.

When LaBeouf refused, the guard alerted police. The arrest occurred at around 2:30 a.m.

Following his arrest, LaBeouf was described by authorities as "very courteous and polite."

Bond was posted before 7 a.m., police said.

Ironically, LaBeouf recently told Entertainment Weekly he works to keep a healthy perspective on fame thus avoiding the self destructive 'young Hollywood' lifestyle and becoming a tabloid headline:

"If my personality gets famous, how do I differ it on screen? Which one becomes the performance," the magazine quoted him as saying.

"DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER" CANCELLED AFTER STAR DUANE CHAPMAN CAUGHT ON TAPE IN RACIST RANT

A&E has indefinitely halted production on it's #1 show Dog the Bounty Hunter after Star Duane Chapman's racist rant was caught on tape and subsequently sold to the Enquirer by his son.

Cable channel A&E suspended production of the fifth series of Chapman's popular show, "Dog the Bounty Hunter," as the phone call was made public on Wednesday, but on Friday the network went a step further.

"In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' off the network's schedule for the foreseeable future," an A&E spokesman said.

"We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.

HIV+ SOLDIER CONVICTED OF DELIBERATELY HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX WITH TEEN BOY

In an update to our previous story, Johnny Lamar Dalton, a Fort Bragg HIV+ Paratrooper has been convicted of knowingly having unsafe sex with a boy who was 17 years old at the time.

FORT BRAGG, N.C., Nov. 1 -- An HIV-positive paratrooper pleaded guilty to assault Thursday for knowingly having unprotected sex with a teenager he met online.

Pfc. Johnny Lamar Dalton, who is a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, entered his plea during a court-martial at Fort Bragg.

A military judge sentenced Dalton, 25, to 40 months in prison. The sentence included a reduction in rank and a dishonorable discharge.

Dalton was ordered last November not to have unprotected sex after he was found to have HIV. State law also prohibits a person infected with HIV from having sex unless condoms are used and sexual partners are notified.

Doctors discovered the 17-year-old had HIV during a routine blood test, and his mother notified the military.

Dalton also pleaded guilty to violating a direct order, aggravated assault, committing an indecent act and using marijuana.

DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTERS SON SOLD RACIST-RANT TAPE TO ENQUIRER

Thanksgiving dinner at the Chapman house just got complicated.

According to the Associated Press, it was none other than Duane 'Dog the Bounty Hunter's son Tucker who sold the devastating racist-rant tape to the National Enquirer for big bucks:

HONOLULU (AP) — Television bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman's son taped a private phone conversation in which the reality star used a racial slur repeatedly, then sold it to a tabloid for "a lot of money," Chapman's lawyer said Thursday.

"I guess because of whatever level of anger he had of his father, he felt the need to express it in that manner," attorney Brook Hart told The Associated Press.

Tucker Chapman could not be reached for comment; no one answered the telephone at a Honolulu number listed under his name.

The National Enquirer on Wednesday posted on its Web site a clip of a conversation in which Duane Chapman, star of the hit A&E series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," repeatedly used the N-word in reference to Tucker's girlfriend.

Chapman later apologized to his son and the woman, then learned about how the tape got into the tabloid's hands, Hart said.

A&E has suspended production of the series, saying the network takes the matter seriously.
"When the inquiry is concluded, we will take appropriate action," A&E spokesman Michael Feeney said in a statement Thursday.

The show, in its fifth season and one of A&E's top-rated programs, has not been canceled.
An after-hours telephone message for David Perel, the Enquirer's editor in chief, was not immediately returned. But earlier in the day, Perel declined to say how the tape was obtained, saying what mattered was what's on the tape.

In the conversation, Chapman urges Tucker to break up with his girlfriend. He also expresses concern about the girlfriend trying to tape and go public about the TV star's use of the N-word.

Chapman has said he was "disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term." He also said he was ashamed of himself and pledged to make amends.

Hart said his client is not a racist and vowed never to use the word again.
"I have never seen anything that suggests he judges people by the color of their skin or racial background or anything but on their character," he said. "Duane lost his composure and made very, very inappropriate remarks, for which he truly regrets."

The TV series follows Chapman and his tattooed crew as they track down bail jumpers in Hawaii and other states. The show also stars some members of Chapman's family, but Tucker Chapman is not regularly featured.

The Honolulu-based bounty hunter first grabbed headlines for apprehending serial rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.
